Nirmal Initiative Trust
Nirmal Initiative Trust aims to break conversations on child sexual abuse, violence and caste-based bullying. They are working towards building a community-level mutual support system. They work with the following model:
Directly working with schools, children, parents starting with 5 villages around Mathura UP. They have designed a book that covers thematic areas: Self-love, Self-esteem, Self-care, Respect for others, Personal space, Difference between Safe Touch and Unsafe Touch, Safety rules. Their volunteers practice this book with the children.
They do home-to-home personal visit follow-ups. Organise community-level events such as film screening, street play, graffiti workshops, and discussions in the Gram Panchayat.
Follow-up and assistance to victims of child sexual abuse.

About the Social Entrepreneurs
Shweta has worked with development organisations on the issues of women and child development. She encountered one such case which led to setting up this organization to provide holistic support to the victims of CSA. She is also pursuing a PhD from JNU.
Shweta has worked as a knowledge partner with Kailash Satyarthi’s organisation in their National Campaign against Child sexual abuse
