UnLtd India’s Theory of Change is that social entrepreneurs will sustain and scale if they get an enabling ecosystem in their early stages. Through our 9 months  Incubation Program, we provide our social entrepreneurs an opportunity to enhance their knowledge.  The program is designed to focus on the following aspects:

  • Validate beneficiary-solution fit, quantify the value proposition
  • Build a business model and plan, including budgeting and costing
  • Hone leadership and entrepreneurial skills
  • Leverage a growing network of investors, experts, and peers

Thus, helping lay the foundation for a Sustainable & Scalable Social Impact organisation.

We believe a social entrepreneur is any individual who is taking action to create positive social change by setting up one of two type of organisations:

  • A Not for profit organisation registered as a Section 8 Company / Trust / Society
  • A Social Enterprise registered as an LLP / Pvt. Ltd / OPC / Partnership / Sole Proprietorship / Section 8 Company without 12A & 80G
We personalize our 9 months Incubation Program to each Social Entrepreneur, as each idea is unique and every entrepreneur is on a different growth trajectory. Our Program provides one-on-one coaching, workshop based learning, access to experts, mentors, investors (Upon completion of the Program) and opportunities for peer learning. This contributes towards our core objective of helping social entrepreneurs with establishing the foundation for a sustainable and scalable Social Enterprise.

Our 9-month program includes

  • Site visit to deepen the understanding of the Founder(s), their work, and impact.
  • Intense engagement of webinars, workshops, and learning insights (self-work) and One to one coaching towards developing the entrepreneurial ability to support the build and scale of their organisations.
  • Workshops and one-to-one consultations by Experts on
    –  Monitoring & Evaluation Framework / Impact
    –  Storytelling / Marketing Comms / Social Media
    –  Finance, Compliance
    –  Leadership Development
    –  Investor pitches
  • Relevant connections to Investors, Service Providers, sector experts, UI Alumni, Mentors, Peers.

UnLtd India is open to any solution that solves a pressing socio-economic issue in India. However, for our February 2025 cohort, we are looking for a pan-India cohort of early-stage Social Enterprises working towards the across sectors. The founders/co-founders of these enterprises need to be committed to solving important social problems in creative and impactful ways.

You are a Founder / Co-Founder of an early – stage NGO, committed to growing your organisation for social change, registered on or after 1st January 2020.

You need to be an Indian Citizen above 18 years of age.

The organisation should be legally registered as any one of the following:

  • Section 8 Company
  • Trust
  • Society

As of the date of application, the NGO must have valid 12A & 80G certifications.

You must be working full-time or if part-time, upwards of 3 days a week.

Your organisation should have a strong focus on measurable social impact.

While selecting Social Entrepreneurs, we look for:

  • Innovation in the idea/ solution to create meaningful impact
  • Individual’s/ Founder’s entrepreneurial capabilities to build a high impact organisation
  • Solution has the potential to create long term and sustained Impact with the community, at a city / state level and at scale
  • Individuals who are open to feedback and can gain from our incubation support

The timelines are as follows:

  • Applications will open from September 24th to November 8th*
  • First Shortlist post Review of Applications by October 15th
  • Second Shortlist post Screening Calls with (Co)Founders by November end
  • Final Pitch Panels – 1st / 2nd week of January 2025
  • Cohort Announcement by February 3rd
  • Induction Session Week of February 10th

Please note: Due to the uncertainty of travel and social distancing norms, the selection process will be conducted virtually.

We will not be providing any financial support for the February 2025 cohort. UnLtd India’s USP is its Incubation program and making social entrepreneurs ready for pitching to investors. Our Program provides one-on-one coaching, workshop-based learning, access to experts, mentors, investors, and peer learning.

UnLtd India’s mission is to find, support and grow early-stage social entrepreneurs who can build high-impact sustainable organisations. We will be taking a refundable deposit from the selected entrepreneurs for this program. We however also encourage Social Entrepreneurs incubated by UnLtd India to support new Incubatees of UnLtd India.

This program is a hybrid of Online and In-person. In person workshops, site visits will be dependent on the ongoing pandemic risks and travel restrictions applicable from time to time.
UnLtd India supports founders of only registered organisations under its incubation program.
If you have a registered organisation, plan on building a team and scaling your impact, yes, you can apply.
If you haven’t been selected the first time around, you can apply again. If you have been a part of the Incubation Program before, depending on the life-stage of your organisation, you can reapply.
Our program is designed only for Social Entrepreneurs and hence attendance in workshops, one-on-one coaching is limited to the Founder / Co-Founders. Hence, while we have no restrictions on your being part of another Incubator, we recommend that you only apply if you have the time for our intense program.
Our application will support information of upto 3 (Co)Founders, with 1 being the Primary Applicant. The Primary Applicant in the Form should be one of the key decision making Co- Founders and will be the primary participant in UnLtd India’s 40 weeks Intensive Incubation Program.
To be eligible for our Program, you must have a registered organisation and be working full-time or if part-time (at least 3 days a week) on your program.

You can be a part of UnLtd India’s Incubation Program for a maximum of 3 times. This needs to be updated for both NGO and Social Enterprise.
